Some suppliers of equipment will invoice in advance at the point of order of goods to enable the shipping of equipment from overseas. These invoices will only become payable as goods are delivered. It is usual that deposit against these invoices will be made at the point of order.

Invoices are reconciled against purchase orders and balances reconciled against suppliers statements. Any descrepancies arising will initially be queried via phone call/correspondence between the 2 parties finance teams and if needs be, escalated to the extended operational teams for further clarification.
