This shorter reporting period is a result of a change in the company’s financial year end. During this period, like all businesses, we have been contending with the impact of COVID 19 on our operational procedures. Unsurprisingly, this has had a detrimental impact on our payment statistics for this short period, where not only our own staff have been working remotely, but also those of our supply chain. This has extended the length of time taken to make payments, in particular any invoices that require any follow up attention or remedial action by the supplier.
We are committed to resolving any disputed invoices quickly. We perform monthly purchase ledger reconciliations to highlight any invoices which are not on the ledger and to request these from suppliers. Separately, we also actively pursue goods received notes and service reports from suppliers. However, where it is not possible to reach agreement, a number of potential dispute resolution methods (for example, mediation, adjudication, expert determination, litigation and / or arbitration) may be used.
For example, signatories to The Prompt Payment Code must commit to paying 95% of their invoices within 60 days.

No
This is where a supplier who has submitted an invoice can be paid by a third-party finance provider earlier than the agreed payment date. The business would then pay the finance provider the invoiced sum.
