Standard payment terms

The supplier is required to submit an invoice to DAI for services and expenses within 30 days from the end of the month in which the services were performed and/or the relevant costs were incurred. Each invoice must be dated, and the services undertaken and allowable expenses incurred and invoiced by the supplier. DAI requires that all contracted suppliers (either consultants or subcontracts) submit monthly timesheets as well as evidence of expenditure for any allowance expenses. DAI will pay all invoices verified in accordance with the above within 30 days of receipt or otherwise notify the supplier of any deficiencies relating to a submitted invoice, timesheet or evidence. DAI may withhold payment of any invoice, in full or in part, that DAI disputes in good faith and DAI reserves the right to deduct from the amount due to the supplier any sum owed to DAI by the supplier.

Dispute resolution process

DAI believes that the vast majority of disputes between suppliers and DAI can be solved through dialogue rather than through a structured arbitration process. As a result our contracts state that where a dispute arises between the parties then designated contractual representatives shall discuss and negotiate in good faith to resolve the issue. If this is unsuccessful then senior representatives of both parties shall discuss and attempt to resolve. In the very unlikely event this is unsuccessful then the parties agree the English courts have jurisdiction to hear the dispute.
