Subcontract issues should be addressed to the quantity surveyor responsible for the particular job worked on. They can discuss any disputes and resolve the issues before notifying accounts to make a payment. Material invoices are agreed to information provided by the buying department. Issues arising in pricing discrepancies will tend to be dealt with by the accounts team along with input from the buying department. Issues in respect of other queries such as quality will be dealt with by directing these to contacts within the buying department, the jobs main quantity surveyor and the supplier in order to reach a resolution.
