Murphy is currently implementing a new enterprise-wide financial transformation. This includes the migration of legacy data onto a new system, which will speed up a range of back-office systems, including our payment process. Additionally, a new team has been established as a Shared Service Centre in a different location to process our payments. The new system and service offered by the team has already contributed to the improvement in our reporting numbers for this period, and we expect this positive trend to continue throughout 2019.

Dispute resolution process

Murphy is committed to fair treatment of its supply chain. The Accounts Payable Shared Services Centre within the UK manages the interface between the business and its supply chain. Disputes that cannot be resolved by the Accounts Payable Shared Service Centre are escalated to the procurement team who are organised by business unit. Should the responsible procurement team member fail to resolve a dispute then an internal escalation process is followed. The procurement Authority Matrix levels are – Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement and Procurement Director.
